Meet our team

Andrew WThe Revd Andrew Williams is the Priest Missioner at The Engine Room. Andrew joined the team in September 2014 having worked as a priest in different parts of the world, most recently in Perth, Western Australia. Andrew is passionate about community ministry and wants to help the new church of St Francis establish itself as a focal point for community activities in Tottenham Hale.


AJ PicAndrew Johnston is our Operations Manager. Andrew J or AJ has worked in the charity sector for over 25 years, mostly with international charities, but he was also the first CEO of the Mudchute Association on the Isle of Dogs. He is a local resident living on the Tottenham Green estate, former Chair of Governors at The Green Primary School (now Holy Trinity) and a lifelong Spurs fan


tracy2 Tracy Gidley is our part-time administrator at The Engine Room, she joined the team in March 2014.  Tracy previous work in the charity section was running a museum gift shop and before that she  worked as a manger and team trainer within various retail enviroments. When not in the office she can often be found volunteering at Engine Room events & activities


Maria Joseph is our Church Community Worker you will see at our tots group - messy play, our pop-up cafe every week on Ferry Lane estate as well as lots of other events adn activities. Maria has a creative background and designs costumes for such events as the Notting Hill carnival as well as using her skills here at the Engine Room.



obiNailah Daley-Allen  is our resident artist and art workshop coordinator.
Nailah has be running the children art workshop here at the Engine Room since she joined us in 2014, she has also run art journaling workshops for adults and curated art exhibitions here. 
Nailah is an abstract artist and the founder of NiArtFr3edom Ltd. A company that Coordinates community art workshops all over London and also houses her art portfolio. She enjoys architecture, live poetry and music and walks along the riverbanks.


obiObi Oynido is leads our Compact group for 14-18year olds. Obi is a resident of Tottenham and a youth worker who is passionate about his local community. Obi is excited to be working on the compact and working with young people in developing their employability skills and hopefully building their confidence as they transition into adulthood and begin to engage with the world of work. The engine rooms partnership with lee valley estates builds on the work of the engine room and its goal to support and strengthen it's local community as it engages with individuals, families, schools and other organisations.

beckyBecky Shannon is our apprentice youth worker who is with us for three years via the Diocese of London. As well as being our resident 'ginger' she has a passion for public speaking and has even led prayers at St Pauls at a youth service. She has grown up on and around estates and enjoys working with the community that estates create. You will find her helping with Messy Play, Compact & Junior Church along with other activites. Her goal in life is to tell people they are worth something.
